V-Threading Tool

The Sto-A-Way was the start of it all at Up Ice_.

I was watching a YouTube video, of a well known climber, demonstrating how to make a V-Anchor, and was inspired to design my own tool. After dozens of prototypes, the Sto-A-Way was perfected.

The Sto-A-Way V-Threading Tool, is simple in its design, yet packed full of all the necessary features you need in a good V-Threading Tool.

So why the name it the Sto-A-Way? Well as the name implies, it stows right inside the long ice screw that you use to make the V-Anchor with. That make it easy to keep track of, and easy to retrieve when needed.

The Sto-A-Way features:

• Large Silicone Covered Loop Handle

• 2.5mm diameter, 304 Stainless Steel Flexible Wire Rope

• Sharpened, 304 Stainless Steel Hook

• 3D Printed Body and Hook Capsule

• Tough, weather Resistant ABS Like Thermoplastic Resin

• Generous 24mm reach

• A Lanyard, so you can secure it to your Ice Screw, or a carabiner
